ECS Detroit Student Chapter

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Detroit Chapter is an organization created at WSU with the purpose of engaging students interested in electrochemistry with professionals in the field while learning different aspects of electrochemistry. The chapter organizes electrochemical workshops, networking sessions and more. ESC Detroit is a highly multidisciplinary platform and welcomes members across departments and universities. Currently, it is comprised of members from the chemistry and chemical engineering departments at Wayne State University.

The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to assisting Black and other minority students and professionals in fully realizing their potential in academic, professional, and entrepreneurial pursuits in chemistry, chemical engineering, and allied fields.

Society Of Environmental Engineering and Sustainability (SEES)

SEES is for students who are passionate about environmental stewardship and sustainability. We focus on Environmental Engineering approaches to sustainability and environmental issues and projects on campus and in Detroit. SEES is open to students of any major, but may be of particular interest to students studying civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, chemical engineering, chemistry, biological sciences, or urban planning.
