Introduction
Research interests in Andreana Group include: (1) natural product synthesis, (2) carbohydrate-based diversity oriented synthesis (DOS), (3) development of novel carbohydrate-based vaccines, (4) combinatorial methods for high-throughput screening, and (5) small molecule synthesis. The key underlying question for our research program is: how do carbohydrates modulate cellular function? In order to address this question, chemistry, as vector into biology, is emphasized.
