ORGANIC CHEMISTRY
FACULTY POSITION - WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY

The Department of Chemistry at Wayne State University seeks applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in organic chemistry. The anticipated starting date is August 2010. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. Junior candidates are expected to develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program and should send curriculum vitae, a description of future research plans, and three letters of recommendation. Mid-career and senior candidates should have an established record of excellence in teaching and research and should send an application letter and curriculum vitae. The Department of Chemistry offers an excellent research environment and newly renovated research laboratories. A fully staffed Central Instrument Facility manages high field NMR spectrometers, several mass spectrometers, single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction equipment, and EPR.
