The
Feig Laboratory
Wayne State University
Department of
Chemistry

Our laboratory has a diverse set of
interests spanning several areas of biochemistry and biophysics. The overall theme of the projects pertains to molecules
that undergo large scale structural rearrangements as part of their
biological function and/or regulation. We use a multidisciplinary
approach to tackle fundamental
problems in biology although some of these systems have potential
practical applications in biotechnology as well.
Current lines of
research include:
RNA Folding
Thermodynamics
Biology and
Biochemistry of
non-coding RNAs and their Complexes with Hfq
Mechanistic
Enzymology of Bacterial Toxins from C.
difficile
Additional
information on these
projects can be found by pressing the Research Link on the menu bar.
