• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or degree equivalent of a four-year U.S. baccalaureate from a college or university of recognized standing G.P.A. of 3.0. Unofficial transcripts can be attached to the online application for initial review. However, official transcripts are needed before admission. Domestic students should have their transcripts sent directly from their previous institution to graduate admissions. Transcripts handled by domestic students are not accepted as official. International students may send their official transcripts in English and their native language, as well as official degree certificates in English and their native language directly to graduate admissions themselves. If you are an international student and you are unable to obtain official copies of your transcripts, you may present your official documents in person if you are selected for admission. • 3 letters of recommendation. These letters should address the student's qualifications for graduate school. References are encouraged to use the online submission system. If they are unable to do so, letters in signed/sealed envelopes can be sent directly to Graduate Admissions. APPLICANTS RESIDING IN THE US

ACCEPTANCE

Applications are reviewed by the Chemistry Graduate Recruiting Committee. Decisions for international applications are made on a rolling basis beginning in February. The weight of the decision is placed on several variables such as strength of the recommendation letters, meaningful research experience, and G.P.A. For international applicants, significant weight is also placed on the TOEFL scores as well as the GRE scores.
