Dr. Martin is an expert in both small and macro-molecule X-ray crystallography. From 2001-2009, he managed the Advanced Laboratory for Macromolecular Crystallography at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. His primary responsibilities were to perform crystallography and refine enzyme structure. Through his own initiative, he developed and taught a graduate level X-Ray Crystallography course, allowing student to collect and interpret their crystal structures. Summer 2013, he will co-teach the X-Ray diffraction workshop with Dr. Ron Baird. His doctoral research earned him the DeVlieg Foundation Graduate Fellowship.
