Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Core Facility
The newly renovated NMR and EPR Core Facility is administrated by the Lumigen Instrument Center and is located in the basement of the A. Paul Schaap Chemistry Building. (Hover image with your mouse pointer to pan the lab image)
The Core Facility consists of two NMR laboratories:
- The Small-Molecule NMR Laboratory (2365 square feet, Room 40) provides professional and NMR technical support for the university research as well as local industrial research and consultation. The Core facility is managed by Dr. Bashar Ksebati to oversee five State-of-the-Art NMR spectrometers and one EPR instrument,
- The Biological NMR laboratory (Room 53) is managed by Dr. Jun Jiang and being used for bimolecular experiments to investigate quantitative biomarkers function and mechanisms of biological system.
The Small-Molecule NMR laboratory is designed with an adjacent conference room furnished with a large 55" plasma screen display, NMR work station and a PC for educational NMR presentation and remote cyber live connection to all NMR spectrometers for training classes, collaborative research, and projects consultation. The NMR Laboratory hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for instruments support activity. Authorized users have 24/7 NMR admission using university OneCard access.
